VIC - Recognised State Association Survey

As we move towards being part of the National Play Well Framework, we require your views and collaboration with Karate Australia to identify how the six pillars of the framework are resonating in your current state. Each pillar identifies aspects that need to be addressed to ascertain both recognition and funding to the sport of Karate in Australia through the Australian Sports Commission.

Under the Well Play strategy the Australian Sports Commission has the vision of “ Everyone has a place in sport”.Their mission statement is toward six identified pillars or “mission statements”:

  1. Empowering people and organisations
  2. Driving lifelong Involvement
  3. Activating Places and Spaces
  4. Building Connections
  5. Equitable Access
  6. Transforming Culture.

The below questions address these six pillars with directives of what the National Play Well Framework would like sporting organisations to adhere to. Would appreciate honest and thorough responses as state sporting bodies to continue to grow and develop Karate as both a sport and recognised brand throughout Australia.
