Nominations for Board Appointed Director and Finance Audit and Risk Committee
The Australian Karate Federation (AKF) is the governing body for karate in Australia, recognised by the Australian Sports Commission and a member of the World Karate Federation (WKF).
The AKF Board is responsible for the governance, strategic development and growth of karate in Australia.

The Roles
In accordance with the Constitution, the AKF is seeking nominations for the positions of:
· two (2) Appointed Directors for a three (3) year term
· three (3) members of the Finance Audit and Risk committee (FAR)
The AKF is seeking candidates who can demonstrate strong collaboration and integrity behaviours and have high-level knowledge of, and experience in, at least one of the following prioritised competencies:
- Sport governance
- Leadership
- Legal
- Business Administration
- Stakeholder Engagement
Candidates with previous governance on a Board, Council or Committee preferred.
Term: 3 years (with annual review)
Remuneration: Volunteer Position
